About the Global Virtual Cancer Conference (GVCC)
Cancer affects everyone – the young and old, the rich and poor, men, women and children. We have all been touched by cancer, whether personally, or through family, friends, neighbors or colleagues. Cancer does not discriminate, nor should the system in place that aims to fight it.
This is why we created GVCC. In 2019, we held the inaugural conference, where we brought together the collective voices of more than 3,000 patients, survivors, caregivers, non-profits, healthcare providers, hospital systems and biotech/pharma professionals from across the globe. It was the largest ever, global virtual cancer conference.
Together, we will work towards solving the most pressing problems facing people affected by cancer and expanding the dialogue around how we can create a new paradigm of trust and respect – where everyone’s ideas and experiences matter.
Anyone who has been impacted by cancer and who would like to play a role in transforming the outcomes of people facing cancer and expanding the dialogue around how we can create a new paradigm of trust and respect – where everyone’s ideas and experiences matter. You can be a patient, survivor, caregiver, non-profit community member, healthcare provider, medical or industry professional, policy maker, activist, member of the media, etc.
You will have access to the GVCC virtual Lobby, Exhibit Hall, Research Launchpad, Chat Rooms, Connection Corner, and Sessions on Thursday, November 11, Friday, November 12, and Saturday, November 13, 2021 using any standard web browser. For the best user experience, we recommend attending the conference from a desktop computer or laptop.
GVCC is hosted on www.gvcc21.com and live sessions take place on a Zoom platform. A chat function is available during programming for you to interact.
GVCC offers a way for everyone to participate in and enjoy the same benefits of a physical conference, without the travel, exposure or expense.
New for 2021, the Connection Corner is totally unique to GVCC! Stop in between sessions to answer questions, leave a note, and use your voice along with the thousands of other GVCC registrants on the different Connection Corner virtual bulletin boards.
GVCC features a virtual Exhibit Hall of our non-profit patient advocacy partners to highlight their resources and provide a chance for you to chat with them 1:1.
The Research Launchpad features informational resources from organizations conducting active clinical trials and those that offer resources to help you find a trial or navigate your journey during participation in one. You will be able to browse information and chat with administrators 1:1 to answer any questions you may have.
A wide range of inspiring and renowned experts will address topics critical to improving cancer-related outcomes and experiences, focusing on empowering you through connection, education and advocacy.
GVCC is free and there is no cost to you!
Your registration information will only be used for GVCC registration purposes and will not be shared with any third-party groups. If you selected that you would like to receive a free physical copy of CURE Magazine, your name and mailing address will be shared with CURE for that purpose. To find out more about our privacy practices, click here.
If you miss a session, yes, you can watch it on demand after the event is over. If you registered for GVCC, you will receive an email when videos are available to watch. Registration will remain open after the event, so that sessions can be shared and viewed with friends and family who may have missed the live event.
Wherever you are! Since this is a virtual conference and expo, there is no physical venue. Just go to www.gvcc21.com on November 11, 12, and 13 and log in with the email address you used to register (there is no password required).
If you experience technical issues, try searching for some of the most common solutions here in the Frequently Asked Questions. If you can’t find a solution, you can email our technical support team at firstname.lastname@example.org. We’ll do our best to get back to you as quickly as possible.
Just like a real-life conference, you can’t be in two rooms at once. However, all sessions will be recorded and viewable after they air.
After entering the Exhibit Hall from the Lobby or top level navigation, just click the name of the organization you want to visit. This will navigate you to that organization’s page.
To chat with a representative from the organization, click on the Chat Now button. This will open that organization’s chat window. Please note, this chat is unique to that organization, but is not private. We recommend you do not share personal identification or diagnostic information in this chat, as other conference attendees may also be in the chat with you.

About GRYT Health
No, it is not required that you join the GRYT Health community to attend GVCC, but why wouldn’t you?!
Seriously though, trust from our community is paramount to the success of both GRYT Health and GVCC - and something we take very seriously. We never share any of your information without explicit permission. Unlike other apps and platforms, GRYT Health is the first social community that is funded, built, and run by patients and caregivers where each person is 100% in charge of what happens with their data.
Please also note, by registering for GVCC, you are not automatically creating a GRYT Health community account. To create an account, visit https://web.grytapp.com/account/signup.
The company's research initiative, The GRYT Project, bridges the communication gap that has traditionally prevented the cancer community and industry from optimizing care through an equal partnership. By becoming a part of this research collaboration, you will:
- Positively impact the patient experience from diagnosis through treatment and survivorship
- Receive compensation on select studies
- Receive follow-up on studies you participate in and learn the impact of YOUR VOICE
Join the GRYT Project today and together we can make healthcare, care.
When you’re logged in, click on the My Profile dropdown in the upper right corner of your screen. Click the Preferences option. From here, you can choose to add a profile picture and write a nickname for yourself (which all chat members will be able to see). Make sure that the box next to Community Directory is checked. This makes you visible in the chat and allows you to chat with other attendees.
Enter the chat from the Lobby. Available organizations and attendees will be viewable on the left of your screen. Click a name to start a conversation. Once you’ve engaged with someone, all of your connections will be on your right.
Be sure to check back often so that you don’t miss any important messages!
Enter the Connection Corner through the Lobby. Click on one of the questions on the left to be taken to the board for that question. When you click to Add a Note, a form will appear that allows you to answer the question, and select a color for your note. You can edit or delete your note if you’d like.
If you do not see a “Join Now” button, you’re either logged out or the session is not currently active. Check the time to make sure you’re not more than 10 minutes ahead of the start time. You can also try logging in again or refreshing the page.
If you’re still having trouble, email us at email@example.com.
