Frequently Asked Questions

Cancer affects everyone – the young and old, the rich and poor, men, women and children. We have all been touched by cancer, whether personally, or through family, friends, neighbors or colleagues. Cancer does not discriminate, nor should the system in place that aims to fight it.

Traditionally, cancer care-related decisions have been made without fully considering the patient and caregiver perspectives. They are looking to bring their experience and knowledge of their own disease to influence not just their personal treatment decisions, but the broader arena of cancer care.
This movement, along with new technology, new drugs and new thinking are revolutionizing possibilities in cancer care. Healthcare decision-making cannot be left to professionals alone. Each of us must play our part in improving outcomes for a better future.

This is why we created GVCC19. For the first time, we will bring together the collective voices of patients, survivors, caregivers, non-profits, healthcare providers, hospital systems and biotech/pharma professionals from across the globe for the largest ever, global virtual cancer conference – hosted on the GRYT digital platform.

Together, we will work towards solving the most pressing problems facing people affected by cancer and expanding the dialogue around how we can create a new paradigm of trust and respect – where everyone’s ideas and experiences matter.
Anyone who has been impacted by cancer and who would like to play a role in transforming the outcomes of people facing cancer and expanding the dialogue around how we can create a new paradigm of trust and respect – where everyone’s ideas and experiences matter. You can be a patient, survivor, caregiver, non-profit community member, healthcare provider, medical or industry professional, policy maker, activist, member of the media, etc.

If you have experiences and ideas to share that could help others facing cancer, we want to engage with and hear from you!!
You will have access to the GVCC19 Virtual Lobby, Exhibit Hall, Clinical Trial Fair and Session Rooms on Saturday, October 5, 2019 using any standard web browser, or from the browser on your mobile phone.

GVCC19 will be hosted on the GRYT app and a desktop virtual platform for a full day of live, interactive programming. Sessions and tracks will have their own dedicated forums or “chatrooms.”

The GVCC19 Virtual Lobby provides access to the Virtual Exhibit Hall, community chat rooms and expert-led sessions and forums with attendees from around the globe. GVCC19 will also feature a Clinical Trial Recruitment Fair dedicated to connecting patients to relevant clinical trial options and information.

GVCC19 offers a way for everyone to participate in and enjoy the same benefits of a physical conference, without the travel and expense.
GVCC19 features a Virtual Exhibit Hall of companies that are passionate about transforming the outcomes of people facing cancer. GVCC19 aims to help improve the way members of the cancer community learn about and interact with brands whose values align with theirs; not just in managing disease, but in living their lives.

GVC19 attendees will be able to interact with and learn more about companies committed to supporting the outcomes of people facing cancer including non-profit partners, patient advocacy organizations, health and wellness brands, pharmaceutical and biotech companies, and healthcare networks and providers.

You’ll be able to chat with vendor reps, see product & service offerings, explore content and educational materials, and much more in the interactive virtual space.
A wide range of inspiring and renowned experts will address topics critical to improving cancer-related outcomes and experiences. The program and agenda are in development, but sessions and topics will fall under the following tracks:

Please note, trust from our community is paramount to the success of both GRYT Health and GVCC19 - and something we take very seriously. We never share any of your information without explicit permission. Unlike other apps and platforms, GRYT is the first social community that is funded, built, and run by patients and caregivers where users communicate anonymously in real-time and each person is 100% in charge of what happens with their data.
The company's research initiative, The GRYT Project, bridges the communication gap that has traditionally prevented the cancer community and industry from optimizing care through an equal partnership. By becoming a part of this research collaboration, you will:
  • Positively impact the patient experience from diagnosis through treatment and survivorship
  • Receive compensation on select studies
  • Receive follow-up on studies you participate in and learn the impact of YOUR VOICE
Join the GRYT Project today and together we can make healthcare, care.
